Getting started

Recruit: post a job, interview, make an offer

Post a job with its pay range, collect applications on your careers page, book interviews and send an offer that leads straight into onboarding.

Steps

  1. Open Hiring and make a job post: a short summary, then About the job, responsibilities, requirements, nice to have and benefits with formatting, plus hours, shifts, openings, start date, experience and education.
  2. Worktrim checks the post against the pay transparency laws that apply (a pay range in states such as Colorado, California, Washington, New York and Illinois, and in some a benefits description or closing date) before it can be published.
  3. Add screening questions if you like (yes/no, short answer, choice). For a yes/no question you can say which answer the job needs; applicants don't see it, and answers that don't match are flagged for you.
  4. Share your careers page, or give its job feed to Indeed or another job board. Each post carries Google for Jobs details so it can show in Google's job search. Applications arrive under Applicants with their resumes and answers, and you're told about each one.
  5. Move people through the stages, rate them and keep notes. Booking an interview emails the candidate the time and place.
  6. Make an offer: the letter is written for you from the pay, first day and department, and you can change every word. When the candidate accepts online they join your team in Worktrim, get their invitation and their onboarding paperwork starts.
